Arangetram
An Arangetram is a precious and pious occasion where the guru presents a pupil to the public after disciplined training for four or more years. The artist presents an in-depth understanding of the dance form and each piece in the repertoire that is performed. It is also a renewal of the dancer’s commitment to stay humble and dedicated to Bharatanatyam through continue learning and practice.
Annual performances
Dancers and Spanda regularly trained to present special Bharatanatyam performances at two revered locations in Kerala, India.
Guruvayur temple in Jul/Aug and Mookambika temple in Dec/Jan each year.
Solo Kutcheri
Post arangetram, Bharatanatyam students are extensively trained to present solo recitals at various arts and culture events and venues across India and the UAE.
Youth festivals
Budding artists of Spanda have earned a reputation for mesmerising judges and audiences with flawless Bharatanatyam presentations at cultural and youth festivals hosted by the various associations and groups in Dubai.
